Automate your workflow

As a company we firmly believe in utilizing technology to the fullest. Computers and programming were invented entirely for helping us do work to save us time and money. I bet you could come up with 5 things off the top of your head that you do on a daily or weekly basis that an application could do faster or more efficiently.

We wrote down a list of things we do as a company and then are going to strive to make these applications happen. We will be sharing our source as we develop these applications because the other principle we strongly believe in is Open Source and sharing.

So make sure to check back in the future, we’ll have some good stuff for you, and by all means, please share your wish list with us, we’d like to hear what other people need automated, maybe we’ll end up developing it for you ;-)

Our Auto-bot wish list:

1. A system to upload mockups to a directory and have them automatically publish in a web page. This will allow us to simply drag and drop images and have them populate with different versions and folders. We also want this functionality to be password protected and to have a way to separate public and private folders in a directory

2. A WordPress plugin that will allow us to populate our portfolio from with the admin. This functionality would let you upload a picture which would generate two different size images, a thumbnail and a preview image. It would also allow you to select a checkbox of what services it applied to.

3. A FLEX / AIR application that functions similar to the Mac program called “things.” This application would work as a task manager on any Operating System and would then sync with the server whenever the user connected to the internet. This provides a fully functional application offline that shares data when online

4. A microformatted Calendar and Contact list that would allow us to post data online that would also sync with applications such as Outlook, Lotus Notes, and Thunderbird

5. A shared drive that has internal and external access and would allow users of any OS to mount a drive whether they’re connecting internally or externally
